Charities

Under the direction of the New Jersey State Council, our auxiliary continually takes up collections for each of these programs. Donations can be brought to any of our monthly meetings.

Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House is committed to children’s care, ensuring families get the support they need. We collect tab tops that they recycle for extra income for these programs. Aluminum tabs of any kind are accepted, not only from soda cans but also cans for pet food, soup, tuna, or anything with a removable tab.

Toiletry Bag Ministry
Full- and travel-size toiletries are collected for those in need. Items include, but are not limited to, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes, and soap (new items only, please). These are collected for men, women, and children, so unisex items are appreciated.

Backpack Ministry
Filled backpacks are gifted to children within New Jersey who are in various programs and shelters. Throughout the year, we gather supplies so backpacks can be filled at the start of the academic year. Suggested supplies include, but are not limited to, notebooks, folders, pencils, glue sticks, and crayons (new items only, please).

Pennies from Heaven
Loose change is collected to support the State Council’s vocation programs (and not just pennies—any loose change will do!). All proceeds are distributed to seminarians and postulants to help in the cost of their studies. These vocation programs are also supported by the sale of angel pins, which is a State Council–sponsored fundraiser.
